David Phelps, President & CEO: David has served as President & CEO of CreoSalus since 2002. For over 25 years, his career has included significant management roles with large life science (medical device, drug and bio-tech) companies as well as starting life science firms and serving on the scientific advisory board of a number of medical device firms. After founding MedVenture Technology Corporation (an INC. 500 company), David served as its President & CEO from its inception in 1988 through 2001. He has been recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award recipient. David has co-founded other medical device firms including CorNovus, InfraReDx and NexGenics. He has over 40 patents issued or pending and has successfully developed more than fifty life science products. David previously held manufacturing and product development positions at Boston Scientific Corporation and Baxter Healthcare. He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School. |

Barry Simon, DVM: before co-founding Thorn Biosciences in 1995, Barry’s career included private veterinary practice and several management positions including General Manager of Ashford Stud. His affiliations include AVMA, AAEP, Controlled Release Society, CSU Orthopedic Research Advisory Board, Thoroughbred Club of America and the Keenland Association. Barry holds a BA in Zoology from Northern Colorado University and a DVM from Colorado State University. |

Tom Schalk, DVM: during his 30 year career at Upjohn, Tom held a variety of senior management positions and helped build the company’s Animal Health Business. He has served as a director, officer or advisor to National Cattlemen’s and Swine Association, AVMA, Industrial Veterinarians, Cobb Poultry Company, Animal Health Institute, European Animal Health organization, European and US Animal Trade Associations. He holds a DVM from Iowa State attended the executive program at Harvard Business School.

James Lauderdale, PhD: throughout his 30 years at Upjohn, Jim held a number of senior research positions including Research Director in Animal Health. His prostaglandin F2a research led to worldwide approval for its use as a luteolytic agent. He has received a number of awards including the W.E. Upjohn Award, American Society of Animal Science Physiology and Endocrinology, Upjohn Achievement Award. Jim holds a BS degree from Auburn and, from the University of Wisconsin, MS and PhD degrees in Endocrinology and Physiology of Reproduction. |

Jack Britt, PhD: Jack is currently VP for Agriculture at the University of Tennessee. He was previously Associate Dean For Research and Graduate Programs at North Carolina Sate. Jack has more than 25 years experience in drug discovery and development in livestock. He is a recipient of many awards including the Upjohn Physiology Research Award, American Cyanamid Physiology And Endocrinology Research Award, American Association of Animal Breeders Research Award and CRS-Merck Award. He holds a BS from Western Kentucky State and, from North Carolina State, PhD and MS degrees. |

T. Douglas Byers, DVM: Doug is an equine practitioner and Hospital Director at Hagyard, Davidson, McGee Associates. Previously, he was an Associate Professor of Large Animal Medicine at the University of Georgia. He holds a BS from California State Polytechnic University and a DVM from UC Davis. |

Wayne Mcllwraith, BVSc, FRCVS, PhD: Wayne is Professor of Surgery and Director of Equine Sciences at Colorado State where he has practiced since 1979. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. He has received many international awards including the Tierklinik Hochmoor prize and the Schering-Plough Award for Equine Applied Research. He has authored four textbooks on equine surgery. Wayne holds a veterinary degree from Massey University and MS and PhD degrees from Purdue. |

Lois Rosenberger, PhD: Lois is currently Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Kendle. She has authored dozens of abstracts in physiology and pharmacology. Lois holds a PhD in Biochemical Pharmacology from SUNY. |
